Remarks: Americanization of a ‘Family drama’ that has been doing rounds in various forms ( Fiddler on the Roof, Festen, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Monsoon Wedding et al) over the years. Very Stereotypical evolution of post-modern cultural subtexts – race and family etc further down the line of the likes like ‘Crash’. Remember Anne Hathaway was lauded for her performance , but I found her terribly subdued and very predictable in an author backed role. Something akin Winona Ryder of the 90s, which I am sure she isn’t.

Wouldn’t miss much if don’t watch it.
