Saturday Desk

One of the main conflicts within me now is to balance the Radiohead listening Uni idealist with the organised professional top of his game. Last week, though I had the invite for the upcoming Edinburgh conference, I followed my whim to pack across Scotland like good ole days. Man! that made me feel so alive. Mooching about collecting trivia and pubcrawling. Here are a few snippets about clocks:

Big Ben is the most photographed clock in the world. ( I wonder how they keep tab of such things).

The clock tower at Chester has only three faces because they don’t want to tell time to Wales.

The Clock tower at Waverley, Edinburgh is set five minutes faster so that people don’t miss the train.

And many more assorts which I am tired to type out now.

Going through such assorted notes during a break at work fills you inevitably with yearning. More so if you are working on a gorgeous June weekend. More More so if it entails talking to an illegal immigrant from Iran who cant be deported back because of strained relationship with them now. More More More so when you have to converse with an interpreter whom we have to pay a fortune.

Well, let me get off to Dublin.
