Influence…

Hmmm. Internet has destroyed my ability to innocently marvel at art. A book for example. I don’t know, I find myself not pausing while reading and not taking a minute to digest or anticipate as I used to before. Only very rarely when the concept is overwhelming. Almost never with fiction. Part of the problem is the net, especially the easy access to information and opinion. It has become almost impossible not to somehow come across an opinion, which itself being an opinion of an opinion dries up originality and identity of the personal reading experience. Therefore as a part of  an experiment internet shall be temporarily dispended with while I read some Levi, amis, et al. Just to get back to basics.
